Baby Rory was surrounded by so much love during her newborn photos session. It was important for Mom and Dad that their fur babies, two Boston Terriers, were included in the photos, and those two were so gently and sweet with baby girl.
Mom was on a slightly difficult journey of learning to breastfed so we also took photos of her learning to both nurse and feed Rory with a small bottle, to make sure we captured this special time in their lives and the beautiful connection they had while learning to navigate life as a family of 3 (five ;))

Natalie and Matt were so excited that their third baby was a little boy after two sweet and loving girls! And his big sisters couldn't be more thrilled to welcome him to the family.
We spent our time in Mom and Dad's master bedroom and even got to include their sweet pup for lots of the time!

Christopher and Breanna have a loving family of five with three girls, who they homeschool and now a new baby boy, Gideon! Breanna's pregnancy was a little scary, so the focus was on creating an easy going and fun experience to capture their beautiful family dynamic.
During Gideon's newborn photoshoot, we made sure to have a lot of fun jumping on the bed, dancing to music and having the three big girls snuggle with their new baby brother!

Baby Payton was a sweet addition for the Vanderbeek family, and their oldest was so thrilled to be a big sister.
Mom was a little worried that their toddler would get bored and antsy during our session (which is normal!), so we took plenty of breaks throughout.
She was able to leave the room, play, snuggle and get snacks when she needed to and I just worked around her and the baby to make sure we got all of the important shots without it being stressful or frustrating for anyone!

Caitlyn's birth experience was a mix of exactly what she wanted (starting with homebirth and midwifery/doula team) mixed with some unexpected twists and turns ( a transfer to the hospital for a repeat caesarean).
It was important that Caitlyn's newborn session be filled with love, compassion, ease and a lot of body positivity and empowerment. We chose to create images together with her whole family as well as just images of her and her newborn in a beautiful floral bath with candles and gentle music. Her session was both a memorable experience and an opportunity for healing and acceptance.

Sam is an herbalist and homesteader and her and her husband, Jake, have two beautiful boys now. We created a newborn session environment that allowed their older son to feel at ease and have a good time, loving on his new brother and also getting to be goofy and move around.
We split our time between their master bedroom, baby Keaton's nursery and their backyard with their garden, grass and chickens. Getting to see the way their family connects and spends meaningful time together made this session full of beauty.

My experience as mother of three, postpartum and birth doula, I know all too well how birth and the first weeks and months with your new baby can be a time of transformation and chaos. The time you have with your new baby is precious and filled with learning about this new person you created while adjusting to the many changes you're experiencing within yourself!
Having a newborn photo session in your home allows me to meet you where you are at, sensitive to the bubble of security and comfort that you are creating in the postpartum phase. With a blend of authenticity and artistry, I create a serene and relaxed atmosphere where you and your baby can feel comfortable and cherished. From the tiny fingers to the fleeting smiles, the nursing breaks and poopy diapers, every moment is captured with a deep understanding of the love and emotions that fill this special time.
Holding your new baby for the first time...you feel their weight and warmth, smell their fresh sweetness, and look into their beautiful eyes.

Your journey begins when you reach out to me through my Contact Form. Once you send me some info about the session you want, I will respond within 24-48 hours with all the details and my availability around your baby's expected birth date.

Once you've scheduled your session and completed the booking process, I will send you my Client Styling Guide to walk you through choosing your family's coordinated wardrobe, well in advance of photo day! I offer my best tips and favorite stores to shop so you can look and feel your best on the day of.
Closer to your session date and baby's birth date, we'll connect to discuss your family's personality and needs and I will provide you with guidance on having a smooth and enjoyable newborn session. This process is all done via email and with my Online Questionnaire for an easy going and stress-free experience.
On the day of the session, I create a calm and enjoyable environment for you and your newborn. With a gentle approach, I'll guide you through natural interactions, allowing genuine moments to unfold. As a mother myself, I understand how important it is to have calm and supportive energy around after you've had a baby.
During my newborn sessions, I often find ways to share encouragement and advice with new mamas, always keeping in mind how hard you are working and how new this experience is to you. Sometimes newborn photos is about getting to share your birth story and talk with someone who's been there, too. All while I take portraits of you nursing, cuddling and enjoying this time with your family. Newborn sessions typically last up to 2 hours, leaving plenty of time for breaks when needed.
3. PHOTO Day!
After the session, I meticulously curate and enhance the images to bring out their natural beauty. Then, within three weeks of your session, you'll receive an email from you with the link to your full gallery of images.
Each session includes 50-60 High Res images in both color and b+w, only the very best from your session. There will be both candid and directed images for you to then download and print directly from your private online gallery. This is a great time to share your gallery with family and friends! I offer prints, canvases and hardcover heirloom albums, all available straight from your gallery!

With all inclusive packages, you don't have to worry about choosing your favorite images, since I provide the entire collection of best images from your session, usually between 50-60 in both color and b+w. Your session includes all of your images in High Res in a private online gallery for you to download and then purchase albums, prints and canvases directly from there.
Newborn Process
We had an amazing newborn session with Rivkah! We have three older girls and our newborn so I was expecting for the worst, but Rivkah did such an amazing job keeping the atmosphere very fun and relaxed!
When she left I kept telling my husband what a great experience that was! AND our photos were everything! So grateful for Rivkah and these photos!

We are so very pleased with our newborn photo shoot with Rivkah Leah. She was just a pleasure to work with; taking time to develop a sweet rapport with our preschooler, giving us time to settle our newborn and making sure that we captured the shots that we wanted.

Riv was such an asset to my birth team. She was so helpful during my labor and captured all of the powerful moments. My favorite photos she captured though, were the newborn and life style photos about 2 weeks after my daughter was born.
I treasure all of the precious closeups of my little newborn. The details of the moments I will never get back in real life, but now have the photos to relish in that fleeting time forever.
